I left a phone message for you a few minutes ago,Ted, wherein I tried to explain the new wrinkle that has developed in
the sale of my home.
The email below is from the company working on the exchange. It is addressed to the realtor for my home, Mike and
Lani West. I guess it is pretty much self-explanatory.
Briefly, maybe a little history is in order. I built some retaining walls in my back yard several years ago without first
obtaining a building permit. Later, at the direction of the City of Everett, I hired a geotechnical engineer(Nelson
Geotech) and the walls were declared structurally satisfactory by them. I paid a fine to the city. I have documentation for
all this (which you probably have too, I guess). The same geotech then assisted me in building another wall (which is the
shotcrete wall where Mayes Testing Engineering was involved) which you and I just addressed a few days ago.
The escrow company proposes 3 solutions to my problem. Would you please let me know which one you prefer?
Since commitment has been made to close the sale by May 31St, if you could please address this right away I would be
very grateful.
Thanks,
Bob Packer
1209 Madrona Ave.
Everett
425-344-0420
From: Mike West [mailto:mikeandlaniwestCagmail.com]
Sent: Wednesday, May 25, 2016 12:51 PM
To: Robert Packer
Subject: Fwd: Release of exception URGENT - AGREED TO INSPECTION / NEW SALES PRICE CLOSES 5/31/16 1209
MADRONA AVE EVERETT
---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Transaction Services <transactionservices20l Oggmail.com>
Date: Wednesday, May 25, 2016
Subject: Release of exception URGENT - AGREED TO INSPECTION/NEW SALES PRICE CLOSES
5/31/16 1209 MADRONA AVE EVERETT
To: Mike West<mikeandlaniwestggmail.com>
Mike and Lani, we have a few options on how to get the city of Everett to record/release complaint -
violation.
1. Ted from city of Everett to electronically record the release
2. Seller pick up from Ted a copy of the release and take it to first american and they will record
3. Get a letter from Ted at the city of Everett that they will be recording the release, we then take to first
american and have them approve and it will be released from title report
Best option and quickest us option 1. Thanks
Linda Bjarnason
Transaction Services
