Using your directions: If you measure 1.20ft from the alley (approximately where the property to the north's garage is located) that will be where the front property line is located. Then measure from that point to the front of the house, this is your set back. Measuring from the edge of sidewalk isn't accurate because the property does not go to the sidewalk.
