EMERGENCY 1Q DICAL SERVICES The Everett City Council hereby authorizes the property tax levy for collection in the year 2017 at$6,540,679 (including a$64,759 increase in dollar amount, which is a 1%increase over the amount of taxes lawfully levied by the City in 2016. Added to the base will be an estimated$300,000 from new construction, improvements to property, annexations, and changes in state-assessed property, and$100,000 resulting from a refund levy, for a total of$6,940,679. Section 2: That the City Clerk be, and hereby is, directed to certify to the County Assessor a copy of this ordinance in order that the same be extended upon the general assessment roll of said County,in the same manner and at the same time that the levy for the State and County taxes is extended. Section 3: That said taxes shall be collected and paid to the City Treasurer at the same time and in the same manner as provided by the laws of the State of Washington relating to collection of taxes in cities of the first class.
