'+'x'.;e »..x .._ 1 w$+ .<s" t".u'..-
By Date: 9/9N
Officer
Exhibit A - Description of Changed Work
This change order# 1 adds five (5) working days to the Contract.
JUSTIFICATION FOR ADDED DAYS
Contract Time
Adjustments in Time: Items stated below caused delays to the Contractors critical path work, resulting
in the need to add, working days to the Contract.
1. Hawthorne Elementary School Summer School began the same day the Contractor began work,
as did the school breakfast and lunch program; the school district did not disclose this
information to the City of Everett. Due to large numbers of children walking through the work
area, it became necessary for the Contractor to provide pedestrian assistance for the children
and to suspend work in those areas until free of pedestrians. One(1) Working Day is added to
the Contract to account for this.
2. Force Account Work affected Critical Path Schedule: Repaired irrigation systems that were
damaged during construction. 1 working day is added to the Contract to account for this.
3. PUD rescheduled electrical work several times, resulting in delays that affected the electrical
subcontractor. Two (2) Working Days are added to the Contract to account for this.
4. Field design changes from COE delayed several subcontractors and added work that resulted in
delaying work until the following day.
