February 22, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., February 22, 2012 in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> Everett City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Hatloe, <br /> Gipson, Nielsen, and Affholter were present. Council Member <br /> Stonecipher was excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 15, 2012 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts and President Gipson commented that it was an <br /> honor to have the President of the United States visit our community. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Tim Benedict, City Attorney's Office, requested an executive session at <br /> the close of today's meeting regarding a litigation matter, pursuant to <br /> RCW 42.30.110(1)(i), to last approximately ten minutes with no <br /> announcement following. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Will Knedlik, Kirkland, brought forth a complaint for relief to determine <br /> judicially that commuter rail service from Everett to Seattle violates state <br /> statutory authority and all monies paid to or otherwise expended on behalf <br /> of defendant BNSF and/or to or for defendant PB, from any Snohomish <br /> 49 <br />
