October 12, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., October 12, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Council Members Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson and Council <br /> Member Roberts were excused. <br /> Council Member Franklin led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 5, 2016, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> The minutes of the October 1, 2016, City Council workshop were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Franklin reminded the public that nominations for the <br /> Richard Wendt Award of Excellence and Mayor's Arts Awards are due <br /> October 25, 2016. She also invited the public to attend the Community <br /> Streets Initiative task force forum to be held on October 25, 6:30 p.m., at <br /> the Historic Everett Theatre. <br /> Council Member Tuohy provided a recap of the Public Safety <br /> Subcommittee meeting held earlier this evening. <br /> Council Member Bader reminded the public that the annual Monte Cristo <br /> Awards event will be held on Thursday, October 13, 6:30 p.m., at the <br /> Everett Performing Arts Center. He also provided a liaison report on his <br /> attendance at the Puget Sound Regional Council Growth Management <br /> Policy Board meeting last week. <br /> 321 <br />
