October 19, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., October 19, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Moore, <br /> Murphy, Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council Members <br /> Roberts and Franklin were excused. <br /> Council Member Tuohy led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 12, 2016, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> President Murphy announced that Action Item No. 10 had been pulled <br /> from the agenda. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson stated he shared evacuation suggestions with the <br /> Everett Office of Emergency Management after a recent trip to Florida. He <br /> also stated that over the next four to six weeks, he and staff will reevaluate <br /> the Service Center Redevelopment Project and return to Council at a later <br /> date addressing concerns. <br /> APPOINTMENT- ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY BOARD <br /> Mayor Stephanson asked the Council to appoint Edwin S. Jones to the <br /> Animal Shelter Advisory Board. <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member <br /> Tuohy to appoint Edwin S. Jones to Position 5 of the Animal Shelter <br /> Advisory Board for a six-year term expiring December 31, 2018. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Members Roberts and Franklin who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 329 <br />
