R/R?ETT <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3060-08 <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating a special improvement project entitled"Parks Signage <br /> Improvements," Fund 354, Program 038,to accumulate all costs for the improvement <br /> project. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Everett is committed to a planned parks capital improvement <br /> program as a part of the City of Everett Parks & Recreation Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the 10 year Parks Strategic Plan strategy number 2.2 calls for the Parks <br /> Department"to improve the signage to parks and trails in the City to encourage greater <br /> use and access to parks, recreation facilities and attractions;"and <br /> WHEREAS,the adopted 2008 Parks Department budget identifies the development of a <br /> signage plan as a target accomplishment; and <br /> WHEREAS, funding approval is sought for the utilization of Capital Improvement <br /> Program 3 (CIP 3) funds for the analysis,planning, design, and development of signage <br /> specifications by type and location throughout the Parks system; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: <br /> A special improvement project is hereby established as Fund 354, Program 038, and shall <br /> be entitled"Parks Signage Improvements"to accumulate all costs for the project. <br /> Section 2: <br /> Authorization is hereby given to accumulate costs and distribute payments from Fund <br /> 354, Program 038, for the improvement project. <br /> Section 3: <br /> Authorization is hereby granted to the Parks and Recreation Director, under direction of <br /> the Mayor, to assume full and complete responsibility for conducting all tasks and doing <br /> all things to accomplish the actions authorized in this ordinance. <br /> Section 4: <br /> The sum of$75,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 354, Program 038, "Parks Signage <br /> Improvements" as follows: <br /> A. Estimated Project Costs <br /> Design, Planning $75,000 <br /> Total Estimated Costs $ 75,000 <br /> Parks Signage Improvement 3-14-08 <br />
