The grant will fund a Historic Preservation Plan for downtown. The Downtown Plan includes historic preservation elements, and this grant work is part of the City efforts to implement that plan. This budget amendment adds $10,000 to the Planning Department budget to cover consultant costs for this project. The grant will partially fund an environmental impact statement and ordinance to implement a SEPA Planned Action for the Everett Downtown Plan. The Planned Action will facilitate downtown development review and expedite permit reviews. The Downtown Planned Action EIS project is already included in the Planning Department's 2008 budget. This budget amendment records the grant award in the 2008 budget.
