February 29, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., February 29, 2012 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Hatloe, Moore, Gipson, <br /> Nielsen, Stonecipher and Affholter were present. <br /> City Attorney Iles led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 22, 2012 Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> The Mayor had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts remarked that he represented the city and the <br /> Mayor at a program in Edmonds that honored veterans and service men <br /> and women. He stated that the program works with local businesses to <br /> offer them discounts. <br /> Council Member Gipson reported that he attended a Black History <br /> Celebration at Naval Station Everett. <br /> Council Member Moore congratulated Council President Gipson for <br /> representing the city as the keynote speaker at that event. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting <br /> concerning a real estate matter pursuant to RCW 42.30(110)(1)(c). The <br /> session is anticipated to last no longer than 15 minutes with no <br /> announcement to follow. <br /> 53 <br />
