WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on May 6, 2003, and <br /> recommended that the City Council approve revisions to the text on the C-2 zone; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds: <br /> Planning Commission has recommended inclusion of the following C-2 zone uses in the <br /> subject C-1 area as found in Title 19, Chapter 5, Table 5.2: <br /> ZONE <br /> USE <br /> INDUSTRIAL USES <br /> Bakery, wholesale <br /> Bottling plant <br /> Brewery, distillery, winery <br /> Bulk fuel sales, storage <br /> Cabinet shop <br /> Dry cleaning, laundry plant <br /> Food products processing <br /> Light manufacturing <br /> Outdoor storage of bulk materials <br /> or large equipment <br /> Warehouse, wholesale <br /> distribution <br /> Welding, fabrication or machine <br /> shop <br /> ; and <br /> Whereas, the changes to the text of the C-1 zone as provided herein would benefit the <br /> property owner and his prospective commercial user, but would not negatively affect <br /> adjacent properties; and <br /> Whereas, this amendment to the Zoning Code is consistent with the applicable <br /> provisions of the Everett Comprehensive Plan, bears a substantial relation to the public <br /> health, safety or welfare, and promotes the best long term interests of the Everett <br /> Community. <br />
