April 27, 2016 The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 12:30 p.m., April 27, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Bader, and Tuohy were present. Council Member Stonecipher was excused. Council Member Bader led the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes of the April 20, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as printed. Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. MAYOR Fire Chief Murray Gordon introduced two new Everett firefighters: Jay Bonnifield and Marcus Reinhard. Assistant Fire Chief Randall Utt presented them with their badges. Mayor Stephanson thanked voters for approving capital projects and technology levy and general obligation bonds for capital projects proposed by the Everett School District. The Mayor also commented on the Sound Transit (ST3) meeting held at Everett Station on April 25, 2016. COUNCIL Council Member Bader reported on his attendance at the Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting last week. He also spoke about the Silver Lake neighborhood meeting last night. Council Member Roberts spoke about the Sound Transit 3 (ST3) meeting held at Everett Station on April 25, 2016. He reminded citizens that the deadline for submitting comments regarding the Sound Transit 3 (ST3) proposal is April 29, 2016. He also spoke about the citizen's concerns related to diesel exhaust. He forwarded the concerns to the Puget Sound Air Agency. Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at several neighborhood meetings last week.
