July 16, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., July 16, 2014 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City Hall, <br /> Council Member Roberts presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Gipson, Stonecipher, and <br /> Anderson were present. Council Members Moore, Murphy, and Bader <br /> were excused. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the July 9, 2014 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson provided statistics regarding attendance at recent city <br /> events. He announced that the "Music at the Fountain" series and a new <br /> program, "Word on the Streets", an interactive project that celebrates the <br /> written word with manual typewriters, started today. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson reported that he had received a complaint from a <br /> gentleman who lives on East Marine View Drive regarding a median that <br /> is overgrown with weeds. CAA/CFO Debra Bryant stated that she would <br /> contact city staff regarding a maintenance schedule and report back to the <br /> City Council. <br /> Council Member Roberts spoke regarding a presentation he made to the <br /> Planning Commission where he discussed climate action plans and an <br /> environmental review on the extension of Sound Transit 3. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney has no comments. <br /> 199 <br />
