G. "G"Terms <br /> "Garage"means an accessory building constructed of at least three walls, designed or used for <br /> the shelter or storage of vehicles owned or operated by the occupants of the principal building. <br /> "Garage,private attached"means a portion of the principal building which is attached by a <br /> common wall or substantial roof structure to the principal dwelling designed or used for the <br /> storage or shelter of vehicles owned or operated by the occupants of the principal building. <br /> "Geologically hazardous areas"means areas susceptible to erosion, landslide, seismically <br /> induced soil failure, or other geological events. <br /> "Geologist"means a person who is licensed in the state of Washington under the provisions of <br /> Chapter 18.220 RCW and Chapter 308-15 WAC, and who has at least one year of practical <br /> experience in the Pacific Northwest. <br /> "Government administrative offices"means offices for federal, state, county, city or other <br /> governmental, public utility, school district, or quasi-public agencies where staff of such <br /> agencies are employed in the administration of government or public services. This term does <br /> not include correctional facilities,utility facilities, equipment storage or parking, schools, fire <br /> stations, community centers, parks, or other public or quasi-public service uses specifically listed <br /> in this title. <br /> "Grade"means the elevation of a lot prior to development. <br /> "Grade, finished"means the elevation of a lot after completion of development. <br /> "Grading"means any excavating, filling, or clearing of land or any combination thereof. <br /> "Green Roof'means an engineered roofing system that allows for the propagation of rooftop <br /> vegetation and while maintaining the integrity of the underlying roof structure and membrane. <br /> "Gross floor area"means the sum of the gross horizontal areas of the floors of a building or <br /> buildings,measured from exterior faces of exterior walls, and from the centerline of common <br /> walls. <br /> 1. Gross floor area includes: basement space, elevator shafts and stairwell at each floor, <br /> mechanical equipment rooms or attic spaces with headroom of seven feet, six inches or more, <br /> penthouse floors, interior balconies and mezzanines, and enclosed porches. <br /> 2. Gross floor area shall not include: accessory water tanks and cooling towers, mechanical <br /> equipment rooms or attic spaces with headroom of less than seven feet, six inches, exterior steps <br /> or stairs, terraces,breezeways, and open spaces. <br /> "Ground sign"means a freestanding sign that is five feet or less in height. <br /> "Group home": <br /> 7 <br />
