August 13, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., August 13, 2014 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, <br /> Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Anderson were present. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 6, 2014 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Member Stonecipher abstained. <br /> MAYOR <br /> The Mayor commented on his attendance at a gathering with Boeing, the <br /> Governor, Senator Cantwell and others this morning related to the <br /> demolition of flat top buildings at the Boeing site to make room for <br /> construction on the 1.3 million square foot autoclave where Boeing will <br /> build the 777X wing. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Members Anderson, Roberts, and Stonecipher expressed their <br /> pleasure at the Mayor's decision not to take down the 90 trees at Legion <br /> Memorial Park. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney has no comments. <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS <br /> Shean Nasin, Everett, commended staff and the council members for the <br /> great discussion regarding backflow valves at last week's city council <br /> meeting. He questioned whether anyone had knowledge of two tent cities <br /> coming to the city of Everett. CAA/CFO Bryant stated that she did not but <br /> 223 <br />
