August 20, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., August 20, 2014, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, Council Member Murphy presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Murphy, Bader, <br /> Stonecipher, and Anderson were present. Council Member Moore and <br /> Gipson were excused and Council Member Bader was expected to be a <br /> few minutes late. <br /> Council Member Murphy announced that agenda item number one was <br /> pulled and moved to the agenda of September 3, 2014, to be briefed. <br /> Boy Scout Troop 267 led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 13, 2014, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson commented on his attendance at last night's Reception <br /> for Summer Reading awards. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Anderson provided a liaison report on his attendance <br /> today at the Public Facilities District Board meeting. He announced that <br /> PFD board members will be in attendance at next week's City Council <br /> meeting to provide an update on the operations at Comcast Arena. <br /> Council Members Roberts extended congratulations to those who worked <br /> to make the Everett Craft Beer, Fresh Paint, and Experience Everett <br /> Street Food festivals a success this year. He also stated that the Schack <br /> Art Center has been named the 2014 recipient of the Governor's Arts <br /> Organization Award and thanked those who supported this project. <br /> 232 <br />
