August 27, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., July 30, 2014 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Bader, and <br /> Anderson were present. Council Members Gipson and Stonecipher were <br /> excused. <br /> Council President Moore led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 20, 2014 City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> The Mayor had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Anderson forwarded an invitation from the Everett <br /> Housing Authority for the grand opening of their Pivotal Point Apartments <br /> to be held tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. at 1130 Rainier Street. <br /> Council Member Roberts distributed a publication published by the <br /> Association of Washington Cities called "Strong Cities, Great State," <br /> which provides information on how to work with legislators. He stated that <br /> he attended a forum on long trains at Snohomish County on Friday. <br /> Council Member Bader, as liaison for the Library Board, stated that he <br /> attended the Young Reader Awards. <br /> Council President Moore reminded his colleagues that the Police <br /> Department is holding its promotional recognition ceremony tomorrow, <br /> August 28, 2014, 3:30 p.m., at Legion Hall. President Moore announced <br /> that he will be leaving the City Council meeting at 1:10 p.m. today and will <br /> turn over the Chair to Vice President Bader at that time. <br /> 238 <br />
