September 3, 2014 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., September 3, 2014, in the City Council Chambers of the <br /> Everett City Hall, President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found <br /> that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, <br /> Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Anderson were present. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the August 27, 2014, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Members Gipson and Stonecipher abstained from the <br /> vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Dave Davis, Public Works, provided a brief report regarding Public Work's <br /> response to rain storm events yesterday. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Anderson reported on his attendance on <br /> August 28, 2014, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Pivotal Point <br /> Apartments at 1130 Rainier Avenue, which is a cooperative effort of the <br /> Everett Housing Authority and Domestic Violence Services. <br /> Council Member Roberts stated he met recently with the Everett Fire <br /> Chief to discuss operations, and he reported on his attendance at the <br /> state rail and safety committee meeting held last week. <br /> Council Member Murphy announced that there will be a Community <br /> Streets Initiative Taskforce public hearing next Tuesday, September 9, <br /> 2014, at Everett Station and invited the public to participate. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> The City Attorney made no comments. <br /> 245 <br />
