4.7 ORDINANCE NO. 2749-04 AN ORDINANCE creating the special construction project entitled "Downtown Police Headquarters — Second Floor West Wing Remodel", Fund 342, Program 008, authorizing the design and construction of alterations to the Police Headquarters. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to remodel the Police Headquarters Building, located at 3002 Wetmore. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction project is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 008, entitled "Downtown Police Headquarters — Second Floor West Wing Remodel" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct alterations to the Police Headquarters. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: The estimated cost of the project is $248,000 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration. Section 4: The sum of $248,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund 342, "City Facilities Construction Fund" Program 008 "Downtown Police Headquarters — Second Floor West Wing Remodel. A. Use of Funds Design $32,400 Construction $197,500 Project Costs $18,100 TOTAL $248,000 B. Source of Funds CI 4 $248,000 C. The appropriation shall not lapse, but shall be carried forward from year to year until fully expended or the purpose has been accomplished or abandoned without the necessity of re-appropriation.
