2 INTRODUCTION <br /> ' 3 The following Amendments and Special Provisions shall be used in conjunction with the <br /> 4 2016 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 AMENDMENTS TO THE STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS <br /> 7 <br /> 8 The following Amendments to the Standard Specifications are made a part of this contract <br /> 9 and supersede any conflicting provisions of the Standard Specifications. For informational <br /> I10 purposes, the date following each Amendment title indicates the implementation date of the <br /> 11 Amendment or the latest date of revision. <br /> 12 <br /> ' 13 Each Amendment contains all current revisions to the applicable section of the Standard <br /> 14 Specifications and may include references which do not apply to this particular project. <br /> 15 <br /> ' 16 COE 17 Ward 0 6 RST <br /> 4zr.x...ww <br /> 17 INTRODUCTION TO THE SPECIAL PROVISIONS <br /> 18 (August 14, 2013 APWA GSP) <br /> 19 <br /> 20 The work on this project shall be accomplished in accordance with the Standard <br /> 21 Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2016 edition, as issued by the <br /> 22 Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works <br /> 23 Association (APWA), Washington State Chapter (hereafter "Standard Specifications"). The <br /> 24 Standard Specifications, as modified or supplemented by the Amendments to the Standard <br /> 25 Specifications and these Special Provisions, all of which are made a part of the Contract <br /> 26 Documents, shall govern all of the Work. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 These Special Provisions are made up of both General Special Provisions (GSPs) from <br /> 29 various sources, which may have project-specific fill-ins; and project-specific Special <br /> 30 Provisions. Each Provision either supplements, modifies, or replaces the comparable <br /> 31 Standard Specification, or is a new Provision. The deletion, amendment, alteration, or <br /> 32 addition to any subsection or portion of the Standard Specifications is meant to pertain only <br /> 33 to that particular portion of the section, and in no way should it be interpreted that the <br /> 1 34 balance of the section does not apply. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 The project-specific Special Provisions are not labeled as such. The GSPs are labeled <br /> 37 under the headers of each GSP, with the effective date of the GSP and its source.
