1 2-01.AP2 <br /> 2 Section 2-01, Clearing, Grubbing, and Roadside Cleanup N <br /> 3 August 3, 2015 <br /> 4 2-01.2 Disposal of Usable Materials and Debris i <br /> 5 This section is revised to read: <br /> 6 <br /> 7 The Contractor shall meet all requirements of state, county, and municipal regulations <br /> 8 regarding health, safety, and public welfare in the disposal of all usable material and <br /> 9 debris. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The Contractor shall dispose of debris by one or more of the disposal methods <br /> 12 described below. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 2-01.2(1) Disposal Method No. 1 — Open Burning <br /> 15 The first paragraph is supplemented with the following: <br /> 16 <br /> 17 All burning operations shall be strictly in accordance with these authorizations. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 The second paragraph is deleted. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 2-01.2(3) Disposal Method No. 3 — Chipping <br /> 22 This section is revised to read: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Wood chips may be disposed of on-site in accordance with the following: <br /> 25 <br /> 26 1. Chips shall be no larger than 6 square inches and no thicker than 1/2 inch. I <br /> 27 <br /> 28 2. Chips shall be disposed outside of environmentally sensitive areas, and in <br /> 29 areas that aren't in conflict with permanent Work. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 3. Chips shall not be incorporated into the embankment but may be spread on <br /> 32 slopes where feasible at depths no greater than 2 inches. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 4. Chips shall be tractor-walked into the ground. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 2-01.3(1) Clearing <br /> 37 In the second paragraph, item number 3 (up until the colon) is revised to read: <br /> 38 <br /> 39 3. Follow these requirements for all stumps that will be buried deeper than 5 feet from <br /> 40 the top, side, or end surface of the embankment or any structure and are in a <br /> 41 location that will not be terraced as described in Section 2-03.3(14): <br /> 42 1 43 2-02.AP2 <br /> 44 Section 2-02, Removal of Structures and Obstructions <br /> 45 January 5, 2015 <br /> 46 2-02.3(2) Removal of Bridges, Box Culverts, and Other Drainage Structures <br /> 47 This section is supplemented with the following new subsections: <br /> I <br /> AMENDMENTS TO THE 2014 STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS BOOK <br /> Revised: 8/3/15 <br />
