04 yr, kb ORDINANCE NO. 2755-04 AN ORDINANCE creating the special construction project entitled "Council Chambers Improvement Project", Fund 342, Program 009, authorizing the design and construction of alterations to the Council Chambers. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to make improvements to the existing Council Chambers, located at 3002 Wetmore. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction project is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 009, entitled "Council Chambers Improvement Project" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct alterations to the existing Council Chambers. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: The estimated cost of the project is $543,500 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration. Section 4: The sum of $543,500 is hereby appropriated to Fund 342, "City Facilities Construction Fund" Program 009 "Council Chambers Improvement Project". A. Use of Funds Design $60,000 Construction $378,200 Project Costs $105,300 TOTAL $543,500 B. Source of Funds Comcast Revenues $396,900 CIP 4 $146,600 TOTAL $543,500 C. The appropriation shall not lapse, but shall be carried forward from year to year until fully expended or the purpose has been accomplished or abandoned without the necessity of re-appropriation.
