Section 001113 Advertisement for Bids Sealed proposals for the Kasch Park Soccer Fields-Synthetic Turf Replacement Phase 2 project will be received by the City of Everett,Washington, at the office of the City Clerk, 2930 Wetmore, Everett, WA 98201, until Tuesday, March 8,2016,at 2:00 p.m.. Bids will not be received thereafter.At the appointed time, all bids will be opened and read aloud in the 8th Floor Public Hearing Room, 2930 Wetmore, Everett WA. The character and scope of the work includes, but is not limited to: Removal and replacement of the synthetic turf at fields 2 and 3 including drainage improvements and placement of supplemental pad. Removal and replacement of the existing sportfield lighting and new controls at fields 1, 2 and 3. Removal of selected portions of existing fencing and furnish and install new fencing and netting at fields 1, 2 and 3. Install new inlaid markings at the existing synthetic turf at field 1. Access improvements including a new pedestrian access to fields 2 and 3 including designated handicap parking stalls. The engineer's estimate for this Project is$3,250,000.00. A pre-bid walk-through is scheduled at 11:00 AM,Wednesday, February 24,2016 at the site at 8811 Airport Road, Everett,WA.Any interested bidders may attend.Any questions and/or answers that may affect the bid will be included in an addendum to the bid documents and sent to all the planholders. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities. Except as otherwise provided in the Instructions to Bidders, no bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set for the opening thereof.The City further reserves the right to make the bid award as deemed in the best interest of the City.The right is reserved by the City to postpone contract awards for a period of sixty(60) days after the bid opening.
