November 12, 2014 <br /> that is available to other government agencies with no cost to the City of <br /> Everett. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING — 2015 BUDGET <br /> Council President Moore opened a third public hearing regarding the 2015 <br /> Budget. <br /> Council President Moore invited public comment. <br /> Cletus Skrabak, Everett, spoke regarding increased taxes, pension <br /> funding, the elimination of vacant positions, and a health insurance <br /> premium share for all city employees. <br /> Shelley Weyer, Everett, spoke about the elimination of vacant positions, <br /> the implementation of five-year budget projections, and future budget <br /> reductions and restructuring. <br /> Megan Dunn, Lowell Neighborhood, spoke about utility tax increases, the <br /> elimination of vacant positions, and long-term solutions to increase the <br /> economic stability of the city. <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Anderson who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> Murphy, to direct staff to prepare the 2015 budget ordinance based <br /> on the discussion and comments that have been made and the <br /> materials provided. <br /> 318 <br />
