d. The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of plans and/specifications <br /> shall not be deemed or construed to be a permit for, or an approval of, any <br /> violation of any of the provisions of this Code or any other law or regulation. <br /> No permit presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of <br /> this Code shall be valid, except insofar as the work or use, which it <br /> authorized, is lawful. <br /> e. The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of plans and/or specifications <br /> shall not prevent the Building Official or designee from thereafter requiring <br /> the correction of errors in said plans and/or specifications or from preventing <br /> construction operation being carried on thereunder when in violation of this <br /> Code or of any other ordinance, law or regulation or from revoking any <br /> certificate of approval when issued in error. <br /> C. Chapter 1 of the 2003 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended by <br /> adding the following: <br /> Board of Review <br /> For the purpose of determining suitable alternate materials, alternate types and <br /> methods of construction and reasonable interpretations regarding the Uniform <br /> Plumbing Code, any person aggrieved by an order or action of the Building Official <br /> who does not have an enforcement procedure pending pursuant to Chapter 1.20 <br /> EMC, may file a written request with the City Clerk requesting a determination by <br /> the Board of Review. The aggrieved party must file such request within thirty <br /> calendar days from the date of receipt of the written order and shall cause to be <br /> made at his own expense, any tests or research required to substantiate the request. <br /> D. Table 1-1 Plumbing Permit Fees of the 2003 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code <br /> is hereby deleted. Plumbing permit fees are contained in the City Fee Resolution. <br /> E. The 2003 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended by deleting <br /> Chapter 12 of the Code in its entirety. <br /> F. Notwithstanding any wording in the 2003 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code or <br /> the Uniform Plumbing Code Standards, neither the Uniform Plumbing Code nor the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code Standards shall apply to the installation of gas piping, water <br /> heaters, or vents for water heaters. <br /> G. An additional chapter, Chapter 16, is hereby added to the Uniform Plumbing Code to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 1. IN GENERAL <br /> A.
