June 27, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., June 27, 2012 in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Hatloe, <br /> Gipson, Burke, Stonecipher, and Affholter were present. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 20, 2012 City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Roberts and Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance at the Association of <br /> Washington Cities' annual meeting last week. The previous week, he <br /> represented the Mayor with a group of investors looking to bring funds to <br /> the City of Everett for different projects. He also met with Council Member <br /> Stonecipher to establish dates for the naming committee to begin work. <br /> They have decided to meet every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. from July 11, <br /> 2012 through August 1, 2012. <br /> Council Member Burke stated her appreciation to the citizens who have <br /> welcomed her as a council member and expressed their concerns or <br /> issues. She remarked that she volunteered at Evergreen Middle School <br /> yesterday for their field day and thanked the teachers and staff for all of <br /> the extra work they do for the school. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles had no comments. <br /> 164 <br />
