used for Fire Department transport service; the different character of service furnished various <br /> customers; and any other criteria or matters which constitute a reasonable ground for distinction. <br /> N. Fire Department Transport Fee Imposed. Fire Department Transport Fee shall be as <br /> follows: <br /> (1) All patients for whom ALS transport is provided by the Fire Department shall be <br /> billed for such transport at the rate of $675.00 per transport plus $15.00 per mile mileage. <br /> (2) All patients for whom BLS transport is provided by the Fire Department shall be <br /> billed for such transport at the rate of$475.00 per transport plus $15.00 per mile milegage. <br /> 0. Compliance with Medicare and Medicaid Requirements. This ordinance and the Fire <br /> Department transport service fees hereunder shall be construed and implemented in a manner <br /> consistent with applicable Medicare and Medicaid requirements. If any part of this ordinance is <br /> found to conflict with Medicare and Medicaid requirements, the conflicting part of this ordinance <br /> shall be inoperative to the extent of the conflict and such finding or determination shall not affect <br /> the operation of the remainder of this ordinance. <br /> New Section 26. Additional Funding. <br /> To the extent permitted under the Washington Constitution and the laws of the State of <br /> Washington including, but not limited to RCW 35.21.768 and RCW 84.52.069, as may be <br /> amended, the City may adopt ordinances for the levy and collection of taxes. <br /> 8 <br />
