This section of Rucker <br /> Avenue is also recommended for transit oriented street designation <br /> • New bus stops on Rucker Avenue near the intersection of Wall Street <br /> • Major bus stops should be constructed at these five locations with high-level stop <br /> amenities and streetscape provisions. Between 300 to 800 daily boardings and alightings <br /> are forecasted at these major bus stops by 2025: <br /> o Hewitt Avenue near Rucker Avenue <br /> o Hewitt Avenue near Colby Avenue <br /> o Hewitt Avenue near Lombard Street <br /> o Rucker Avenue near Wall Street (recommended new stop) <br /> o Pacific Avenue near Wetmore Avenue (planned SWFT BRT stop) <br /> 5. Everett Station <br /> Everett Station facility improvement projects, as shown below, are recommended in response to <br /> forecasted increases in transit service, ridership and passenger transfers at Everett Station. <br /> These changes will increase the capacity of Everett station to accommodate additional transit <br /> vehicles, passenger boardings, and bicycle parking demands. <br /> Recommended Everett Station Facility Improvement Strategies <br /> • SWIFT BRT Service Northern Terminal -- Construct BRT system improvements at Everett <br /> Station to accommodate CT/ SWIFT BRT service between Everett Station and Shoreline. <br /> • Everett Station Phase II -- Completes the Sounder commuter rail station providing 440 <br /> additional parking stalls and an all-weather pedestrian bridge connecting the new <br /> parking to the rail access platform. <br /> • Everett Station Secure Bicycle Parking Expansion -- Provide fully secured bicycle parking <br /> for an additional 80 bicycles. <br /> F. Non-Motorized Mitigation <br /> 1. Bicycle Mitigation <br /> Bicycle routes to and within Downtown are recommended in order to complete system <br /> connectivity to encourage and accommodate forecasted growth in demand including: <br /> • California Street bike lanes <br /> 11 <br />
