SECTION 23: Paragraph one of Section 5.2 of the Shoreline Master Program, Exhibit A to
<br /> Ordinance No. 2600-02, as amended (Section IV.A. of Chapter 3 Shoreline Land Use Element of
<br /> the Comprehensive Plan), which currently reads as follows:
<br /> Introduction
<br /> Agriculture includes,but is not limited to, the production of horticultural,viticultural,
<br /> floricultural, livestock, dairy, apiary,vegetable, or animal products or of berries, grain,hay,
<br /> straw,turf, seed or Christmas trees;the operation and maintenance of farm and stock ponds,
<br /> drainage ditches, or irrigation systems; and the normal maintenance and repair of existing
<br /> structures, facilities and lands currently under production or cultivation.
<br /> IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> Introduction
<br /> Agriculture includes,but is not limited to, the production of horticultural,viticultural,
<br /> floricultural, livestock, dairy, apiary, vegetable, or animal products or of berries, grain,hay,
<br /> straw, turf, seed or Christmas trees; the operation and maintenance of farm and stock ponds,
<br /> drainage ditches, or irrigation systems; and the normal maintenance and repair of existing
<br /> structures, facilities and lands currently under production or cultivation. Associated activities
<br /> such as farm bakeries, farm stands, farm product processing, agricultural education and
<br /> promotion(including activities such as corn mazes), or demonstration farms are also considered
<br /> to be agricultural activities.
<br /> SECTION 24: Section 5.14 of the Shoreline Master Program, Exhibit A to Ordinance No.
<br /> 2600-02, as amended (EMC 19.33D.230), is hereby amended by the addition of the following
<br /> regulation::
<br /> 5. Residential development in the rural flood fringe district along Larimer Road is only
<br /> permitted when consistent with all City codes and regulations, and with the requirements
<br /> of the Snohomish Health District when septic systems are required.
<br /> SECTION 25: The Introduction to Section 6.2 of the Shoreline Master Program, Exhibit A to
<br /> Ordinance No. 2600-02, as amended (Section V.B.of Chapter 3 Shoreline Land Use Element of
<br /> the Comprehensive Plan), which currently reads as follows:
<br /> 6.2 Shoreline Stabilization
<br /> Shoreline stabilization includes actions taken to address erosion impacts to property and
<br /> dwellings,businesses, or essential structures caused by, or associated with current, flood,tides,
<br /> wind, or wave action. These actions include structural methods and nonstructural methods, such
<br /> as setbacks.
