2009 <br /> Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev _ Exp FB <br /> GGA-8 Police Dept Amendment-UASI Grant Extension 031A 47,858 <br /> GGA-8 General Fund Amendment-UASI Grant Extension 002A 47,858 <br /> Using Urban Area Security Initiative grant funds, the Seattle Police Department in August 2008 <br /> agreed to provide funding to the City of Everett for one contract Intelligence Analyst. The <br /> proposed Amendment No. 1 to the Interagency Agreement with the Seattle Police Department <br /> would (1) extend the term of the Agreement from November 30, 2009 to May 15, 2010 and (2) <br /> increase funding by an additional $47,858 for the Analyst from $75,000 to $122,858. This <br /> analyst, working under the direct supervision of the Everett Police Department, focuses on <br /> detecting and preventing terrorism and other related crime, such as importing illegal weapons, <br /> organized crime and criminal gangs, as well as protecting critical infrastructure. This Agreement <br /> provides an analytical capability within the northern region of the Seattle Urban Area, City of <br /> Everett and Snohomish County. The program places Everett Police Officers in the <br /> Everett District high schools to promote public safety and awareness within the schools. <br /> The Everett School District agrees to continue providing 75%funding of two officers for the next <br /> three school years, 2009—2012, for the SRO program. <br /> The Everett School District will be billed annually as follows: <br /> 2009-2010 school year- $175,302 <br /> 2010-2011 school year- $182,203 <br /> 2011-2012 school year- $189,454 <br /> The budgeted expenditures related to these officers are already in the 2009 budget; therefore <br /> only the interlocal revenue is added with this amendment. <br /> Increase Fund Balance 009 5980000490 175,302 <br /> Budget for SRO grant 002 3382103031 175,302 <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> Tally 2009.xlsx 8/7/2009 <br />
