• <br /> 2009 <br /> Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-17 Police Amendment-RSO Address Verfication 031A 101,028 <br /> GGA-17 General Fund Amendment-RSO Address Verfication 002A 101,028 <br /> The Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs (WASPC) is allocating an extension of <br /> state grant funding to law enforcement for fiscal year 2009-2010 to ensure registered sex <br /> offender(RSO) address and residency verification. <br /> The Snohomish County Sheriffs Office has received authorization for one dedicated prosecutor, <br /> one detective from SCSO, and one detective from Everett PD under this program. The unit is <br /> responsible for address and residency verification for Level 2, Level 3, and homeless RSO's <br /> throughout Snohomish County and for the completion of cases for referral to the designated <br /> prosecutor for Failure to Register incidents. <br /> The community will continue to benefit by having this designated team committed to ensuring <br /> residency requirements and enhanced prosecution abilities. Everett Police will benefit by <br /> relieving patrol officers from the verification duties for Level 2 and 3 sex offenders, which include <br /> approximately 93 RSO's. <br /> The SCSO will reimburse the City a maximum of$101,028.00. <br /> The RSO program is in Criminal Justice Fund 156.This amendment transfers funds to the <br /> General fund for services rendered by the Police department.
