HEAR/NG EXAMINER <br /> FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATION <br /> OF THE HEARING EXAMINER OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT <br /> IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF <br /> EVERETT HOUSING AUTHORITY FOR <br /> APPROVAL OF MODIFICATION OF A <br /> PLANNED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT PRD #79-006 <br /> RECOMMENDATION TO EVERETT CITY COUNCIL: <br /> The requested modification of a Planned Residential <br /> Development for the expansion of a community center at 220 - <br /> 98th Place SE, Everett, Washington, is recommended to be <br /> granted. The expansion should allow the community center to <br /> be expanded to 3,800 square feet. <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> On February 20, 1980, the Everett City Council passed an ordinance amending the zoning <br /> map of the City of Everett with a rezone of property at 220 - 98th Place SE, Everett, <br /> Washington (subject property)1. With the rezone, the subject property was zoned R-1, <br /> Single-Family Low Density Planned Residential Development The ordinance allowed a <br /> Planned Residential Development (PRD) that had 34 units with five duplexes and six four- <br /> plex units. Included in the PRD was a community center which was approved to be a <br /> structure of 1,088 square feet. The Everett Housing Authority (Applicant) seeks to amend the <br /> approved PRD to allow the community center to be expanded to 3,800 square feet. <br /> A hearing was held before the Hearing Examiner of the City of Everett on November 12, <br /> 2009.
