(16) EXPERIMENTAL BMPs <br /> Experimental best management practices are defined as BMPs which have not <br /> been tested and evaluated by the Department of Ecology in collaboration with <br /> local governments and technical experts. Experimental BMPs will not generally <br /> be allowed in the City of Everett until they have been recognized and approved by <br /> the Department of Ecology. <br /> is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: <br /> (1) NEW DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT- APPLICABILITY <br /> A. All new development and redevelopment shall comply with Minimum <br /> Requirements #2. <br /> B. The following new development and redevelopment shall comply with <br /> Minimum Requirements #1 through #5 for the new and replaced impervious <br /> surfaces and the land disturbed: <br /> (1) Creates or adds 2,000 square feet or greater of new, replaced, <br /> or total of new plus replaced impervious surface area, or <br /> (2) Has land disturbing activity of 7,000 square feet or greater <br /> C. The following new development and redevelopment shall also comply with <br /> Minimum Requirement #6 for the new and replaced pollutant generating <br /> impervious surfaces: <br /> (1) Creates or adds 5,000 square feet or greater of new, replaced, <br /> or total of new plus replaced impervious surface area. <br /> D. The following new development and redevelopment shall also comply with <br /> Minimum Requirements #7 through #9 for the new impervious surfaces and <br /> the converted pervious surfaces: <br /> (1) Creates or adds 5,000 square feet or more of new impervious <br /> surfaces, or <br /> (2) Converts 3/4 acres, or more, of native vegetation to lawn or <br /> landscaped areas, or <br /> (3) Converts 2.5 acres, or more, of native vegetation to pasture. <br /> 23 <br />
