OPosb :am <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 3188-10 <br /> An Ordinance relating to Adoption of State Traffic Infractions, <br /> Amending Section 3 of Ordinance 2008-94 (EMC 46.04.030). <br /> Whereas, in 1994 the City adopted by reference the Washington Model Traffic <br /> Ordinance ("MTO"), Chapter 308-330 WAC, as the traffic ordinance of the City; and <br /> Whereas, the City desires to amend its traffic ordinance consistent with changes in State <br /> law; and <br /> Whereas, the Everett City Council finds that the provisions of this Ordinance are <br /> necessary for the public health, safety and welfare; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: <br /> Section 3 of Ordinance 2008-94 (EMC 46.04.030), which reads as follows: <br /> Certain sections of state law adopted by reference. <br /> The following sections of Washington state law are adopted by reference in all respects as <br /> though such sections were set forth herein in full: Sections 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 of Chapter 275, <br /> 1994 Laws of the state of Washington. <br /> Is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Certain sections of state law adopted by reference. <br /> The following sections of Washington state law are adopted by reference in all respects as <br /> though such sections were set forth herein in full: Sections 1, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11 of Chapter 275, <br /> 1994 Laws of the state of Washington; Section 2 of Chapter 417. 2007 Laws of the state of <br /> Washington, as amended by Section 3 of Chapter 223, 2010 Laws of the state of <br /> Washington (RCW 46.61.667); Section 1 of Chapter 416, 2007 Laws of the state of <br /> Washington, as amended by Section 4 of Chapter 223, 2010 Laws of the state of <br /> Washington (RCW 46.61.668); and Section 1 of Chapter 413, 2005 Laws of the state of <br /> Washington, as amended by Section 1, Chapter 83, 2007 Laws of the state of Washington <br /> and Section 1 of Chapter 252, 2010 Laws of the state of Washington(RCW 46.61.212). <br /> Section 2: General duty. <br /> It is expressly the purpose of this Ordinance to provide for and promote the health, safety and <br /> welfare of the general public and not to create or otherwise establish or designate any particular <br /> class or group of persons who will or should be especially protected or benefited by the terms of <br />
