Any person who shall continue any work on the system after having been <br /> served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed <br /> to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall be liable for a <br /> fine of not less than [AMOUNT] dollars or more than [AMOUNT] dollars. <br /> F. Amendments to the International Fire Code (hereinafter referred to <br /> as the "IFC") Chapter 1, Administration <br /> A. Chapter 1 of the IFC is hereby amended by the addition of the following <br /> language: <br /> Enforcement authority— Identification — Obstruction — Conflict <br /> 1. It shall be the responsibility of the Fire Code Official under the <br /> direction of the Everett fire chief to enforce all provisions of the <br /> International Fire Code. <br /> 2. The fire chief or his/her designee(s) shall be empowered to exercise <br /> the authority of peace officers to the extent necessary to enforce the city <br /> fire code, which power shall include issuance of citations. <br /> 3. Persons designated by the fire chief to enforce the fire code shall bear <br /> identification reflecting the authority under which they act, which <br /> identification shall be shown to any person requesting the same. The fire <br /> chief is authorized to designate the fire marshal, assistant fire marshals <br /> and fire inspectors to enforce the fire code. <br /> 4. A person commits the offense of obstructing a fire inspector, fire <br /> marshal or assistant fire marshal if: <br /> a. He or she intentionally uses or threatens to use force to <br /> obstruct a person he or she knows or should reasonably know is a <br /> fire inspector, fire marshal or assistant fire marshal and while such <br /> 12 <br />
