The funds from this grant are being used to establish design guidelines for development that will support pedestrian and transit-oriented use of Broadway Avenue. In 2004, demands on staff to complete the Shoreline Master Program and draft the 10-year update of the Comprehensive Plan did not allow work on the Broadway Avenue design guidelines. This project is still on the work program and was identified as a priority by the Mayor's Vision Team.This request will carry forward the remaining $15,814 to complete this work. The manual will illustrate minimum landscaping and land division standards. The design manual was on hold while Planning and Engineering &Public Services staff developed revisions to the Land Division Ordinance. These revisions were finalized and adopted by City Council on 9/24/03. Staff worked on the manual during 2004. This request will carry forward $2,845 to cover the cost of completing and printing the land division design manual.
