October 17, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., October 17, 2012, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that Mayor <br /> Stephanson and Council Members Moore, Gipson, Burke, Stonecipher, <br /> and Affholter were present. Council Members Roberts and Hatloe were <br /> excused. <br /> Council President Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 10, 2012, Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Burke abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATHS <br /> Moved by Council Member Moore, seconded by Council Member <br /> Affholter, to concur with the appointments of Joshua Kilroy and <br /> Matthew McCourt as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes except Council <br /> Members Roberts and Hatloe who were excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Deputy City Clerk administered their oaths of office and Mayor <br /> Stephanson presented them with their badges. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Burke stated that her absence last week was due to her <br /> attendance at the National Conference for Community Colleges. She <br /> commented that she was pleased to see that Everett Community College <br /> was at the head of the pack regarding many of the issues being focused <br /> on this year. <br /> 285 <br />
