October 24, 2012 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., October 24, 2012, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett <br /> City Hall, President Gipson presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Hatloe, <br /> Gipson, Burke, and Affholter were present. Council Member Stonecipher <br /> was excused. <br /> Council Member Hatloe led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the October 17, 2012, Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Members Roberts and Hatloe abstained <br /> from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson commented that in recognition of National Community <br /> Planning Month, he presented a proclamation last evening at the Planning <br /> Commission meeting thanking the Commission and city staff for their <br /> good work and many hours of effort. This was the final meeting on the <br /> Central Waterfront Plan. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts stated that he also attended the Planning <br /> Commission meeting and praised the Planning Commission and staff for <br /> their work. Additionally, Council Member Roberts shared positive <br /> feedback about the Los Angeles Rail—Volution transit conference he <br /> attended on behalf of Sound Transit last week and thanked the Mayor for <br /> working with other mayors regarding the Sounder North issue and ways to <br /> increase efficiency. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> City Attorney Iles requested an executive session following the meeting <br /> concerning one legal matter pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(i) and one <br /> 291 <br />
