October 31, 2012 <br /> taxable property, both real and personal, subject to taxation <br /> thereon, for the purpose of raising a portion of the revenue to <br /> carry on city operations for the ensuing year, as required by <br /> the Charter of the City of Everett and the laws of the State of <br /> Washington <br /> Moved by Council Member Affholter, seconded by Council Member <br /> Roberts, that this is declared to be the third and final reading of Council <br /> Bill No. 1210-47 and the City Clerk is directed to call the roll for the final <br /> disposition of the ordinance. <br /> AYES: Roberts, Moore, Hatloe, Gipson, Burke, Stonecipher, <br /> Affholter <br /> NAYS: None <br /> Ordinance No. 3298-12 adopted. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING — FIXED ROUTE FARES <br /> Council President Gipson opened a public hearing regarding a proposed <br /> resolution to change Everett Transit's fixed route fares effective January <br /> 1, 2013. <br /> Tom Hingson, Transportation Services, gave a brief overview of the <br /> proposed change, the projected revenues, and comments from the public <br /> meetings that have been held. Stephanie Lillie discussed Transportation <br /> Services' education and outreach plan and mitigation plan. <br /> Council President Gipson invited public comment. <br /> Adrian Patayon, Everett, and Gary Hatle, Everett, spoke in opposition to <br /> the proposed fare increase for the disabled and elderly. <br /> Moved by Council Member Hatloe, seconded by Council Member <br /> Affholter, to close the public hearing. <br /> 299 <br />
