Kirk Brooks
From
Sent:
To:
Cc:
AI Rosenzweig
Thursday, August 03, 2006 3:37 PM
Kirk Brooks
Ryan Sass; Tom Fuchs; Roy Harris
Subject: R-O-W Use Permit
Importance: High
Kirk
Roy Harris rightfully suggested we ask Wilder (Rob Withers) to come in and obtain a ROW use
permit. They have met with Roy Harris, Bill Bailey and myself. They are being required to put down
a.07 "test" section by the ADOT (Arizona Dept of Transportation) in conjunction with WSDOT. This
mix will ultimately go down on portions of the State Highway. This material is so new, none of our
staff are trained in the application or placement of this material. Wilder did tell us "they" do this down
in the southwest quite a bit. There will be several members from ADOT and WSDOT watching this
mix go down. This mix will go down tentatively scheduled Aug 15th around 5 pm start time...l'd
double check with Rob on the date and time of placement.
We should ask Wilder to
1. adjust any iron that is overlayed
 2. Replace removed or covered pavement markings. Perhaps Mr. Sass could stripe the overlayed
road, Ryan?
: 3. Provide the necessary traffic signs and personnel per normal SOP.
 4. Hand out notices to the surrounding businesses of the date and time.
5. Agree to maintain or remove and replace with standard 1/2" HMA should the rubberized asphalt
material fail with in 2 yrs of placement.
and anything else you can think of...and as always if you questions please call me 425 754 6588

8/4/2006
