February 11, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., February 11, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council Vice President Murphy presiding. <br /> Upon roll call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members <br /> Moore, Murphy, Stonecipher, Gipson, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Members Roberts and Bader were excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 4, 2015, City Council meeting were approved <br /> as printed. Council Member Moore abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no comments. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Gipson reported that he visited a Tier 1 marijuana <br /> processing facility in Lake Stevens last week. He requested that a council <br /> workshop be held to discuss the impacts of the marijuana industry. <br /> Allan Giffen, Planning Director, provided an update on the marijuana <br /> interim regulations work being done by the Planning Department and <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher stated that she had visited a marijuana grow <br /> operation and retail store, and suggested Planning Commission members <br /> tour these facilities as well. She stated that Planning Commission <br /> meetings are currently being aired live and asked that future videos be <br /> archived. CAO/CFO Debra Bryant said that she would look into additional <br /> video access. <br /> Council Member Murphy reported that he and Council Member Moore <br /> attended this year's first Lodging Tax Advisory Committee meeting today. <br /> He announced that applications are due no later than February 23, 2015, <br /> and the next Lodging Tax Advisory Committee meeting will be held in the <br /> 32 <br />
