contractor named Belfor were discovered at the fire loss in late June or early July 2006, by our public adjuster
and they were upending and seriously meddling with repair procedures already set in place, ready to move
forward. Mr Griffith is meticulous and very strict concerning fire loss repairs because of the crucial nature of
his work, and liability to his business personally. Mr Grith stated that Mr Feingold is not a licensed structural
engineer, and lacks background in this area. Although much water damage occurred, it appears that the
structural supports under the house received no engineering attention at all, though our insurance account was
charged twice for engineering inspections, as far as we understand.
David L. Griffith said he detected this piot of these men, contacted the Mayor of Everett's office, and believed
himself successful in getting through to you the gravity of the situation. He was ever so thankful and so were we,
that this had been thwarted thanks to quick intervention at this time.
On or about Sept. 27, 2006 however, I contacted the Everett Building Dept. to leam that your intervention on
behalf of our fire loss had not been as successful as you or David L. Griffith had hoped. Or those that
carried out this devious sabbotage of the building plans had waited until the detaiis of the case died down, and
gone 6ack and destroyed the public adjusters work, which through involving our small property, has been named
a large loss claim totaling $500,000 or so paid out on our behaN, for housing, structure repairs, etc. due to the
extent of fire, smoke, and water damage which occurred, when the fire dept. had to return for two days to put out
the blaze.
The cottage originally belonged to Everett pioneer Frank R. Killien. His family came from Alberta, Canada,
to the Everett area when he was a young man of 17 years of age. He was hired on at the Everett Pulp & Paper
Mill, to clean out the paper troughs, and after training him in every aspect of paper making, he worked his way
up the ladder of success and became for a time, Supt. Of the Everett Pulp & Paper Mill. My family has undertaken
to educate the community to the valuable contributions of Frank R Killien.
We are extremely concerned that a cheaped version of these plans does not replace an entire safely restored
roof system for our home. The famfly sleeps upstairs, I sometimes use the privacy of the upstairs area
to paint, and our younger daughter plays there. Although we have told our attorney of the event that took place
regarding your office, we have not been sure that you are aware of the current plight of our family concerning this
situation, which we believe has stalied off repairs for 10 monthes now. You may view it as already resolved,
In the interim, two diHerent mold remediation companies have inspected the home. The secnd and more
recent of the two, states that an entire new roof system is not optional, but critical, and his crew will not come in
and perform remediation, until this preliminary structural work takes place. The reinwater entering the structure for
many monthes now, has subjected the beams of the house to serious deterioration. We appreciate your serious
consideration in the past, as we do now of issues which involve the health and safety of the Campbell family.
.i.
`'""'y,t' b'
5
