..e— w. ---
years since 1980. Their work has included Historic Buildings. I believe Mr. Lewis in this matter
and situation is making a pre udice to punish the insured for hiring a Public insurance Adjuster. If
that is the case, there are law to protect that occurring.
Mr. Lewis knowing of the S pe of repairs refuses to acknowledge receiving the same. I did send
to him and also him having r eived the Proof of Loss and the Appraisal refuses to pay the
amount for the ACV/MVof i37,303.00. He quickly gathered together from where I don't know,
a questionable and absolutel incomplete scope of repair for $120,858.00. He then sends an ACV
check for roughly $59,000.0 doltars through the mail with the aforementioned, a letter
threaxening Appraisal. Please be advised we are not cashing the mentioned ACV check nor are we
accepting his scope and bid. e are not aware where it came from and Mr. Lewis isn't saying. He
wants to leave everything o n on the scope. We cannot adjust a(oss on the aforementioned
basis. We have to have defin e hard numbers to establish the insured's budget in order to rebuild
their buildingticonectiv. Mr. wis is playing games at the expense of my clients and Parmers
Insurance Company.
In my notification to Mr. Le is of my representation of the insured's, I sent him a letter of
introduction and a notificatio and authorization form signed by the insured's. T'he
aforementioned toid Mr. Le is to handle ail verbal and written communication with regard to the
loss with this adjuster. Mr. wis has negated any directions set forth in the mentioned
correspondence by the insure 's. The insured's have refused the mailings and as well his
telephone calls. They have p sed the maitings onto te and/or have refused others and had it sent
back. One certified mailing i particulaz was refused and sent back to Mr. Lewis. Mr. Lewis on
his last trip to our area on Jul 17/18 2006 tried to foist offthe mail returned to him that he
received from my client, to e office ofthe complex where my clients are staying temporarily.
He had opened the return ma 1 packet and feigned to the manager he didn't have the correct
address. The manager not tru ting Mr. Lewis did not tell any address. His trip was for naught.
The man cannot be trusted or else he does not feel a need to be accountable to anyone.
I telephoned Mr. Lewis to as him if there was a structural engineer that he could recommend to
me as the building we are ing with has to qualify for the law and ordinance or code updates.
He recommended one, Jack inegold. I telephoned Mr. Finegold and asked him if he would like
to work for me and my client in doing a roof system. Upon, Mr. Finegold's arrival at the loss site
and his forty minute tardines of which he did not apologize, I asked hirn some direct questions.
He was deceptive, arrogant d disrespectful. I informed him there and then he was fired. He
stated, "I would have to chec with his client Farmers!" I informed him I was the client and that
he was not allowed on #he pr perty again. Mr. Lewis is trying to say he hired Mr. Finegold and I
fired him. See letter to Mr. Fi egold following. Mr. Lewis is also deceptive in this matter.
After I met Mr. Lewis for the first time an July 1 S, 2006 at the loss site, he had brought IVir.
Finegold with him, a person at is not a licensed engineer and does not have a background in
structural engineering, excep as a building inspector for the Washington City of Kent. I knew
Mr. Lewis and Finegold wer going to be present. To my surprise Mr. Finegold had another
inspector from the City of Ev rett, Washington building department. Mr. Lewis and Mr. Finegold
were going to try and have th building department in that city undo what already had been
established by the ciry almos a month before with the structutal engineering plans from BC
Engineering located at Taco a, Washington. After inquiring why a different inspector from the
City of Everett was there to -inspect what already had been approved a month before he stated,
"I have been asked here by J k Finegold." What the purpose was with Mr. Finegold, Fanners'
Y
