2011 <br /> Budget Adjustments <br /> Tally Sheet <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-9 Police Dept Amendment-Bulletproof Vest Partnership 031A 18,785 <br /> GGA-9 General Fund Amendment-Bulletproof Vest Partnership 002A 18,785 <br /> The Bulletproof Vest Partnership("BVP"), created by the Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant Act of 1998, is <br /> a U. S. Department of Justice initiative designed to provide a critical resource to state and local law <br /> enforcement. FY 2011 BVP funds became available earlier this year for purchase of compliant armored <br /> vests ordered on or after April 1,2011. On July 7, 2011,the Everett Police Department applied for funding <br /> to cover the maximum of fifty percent of the cost of 50 vests. The total cost of the 50 vests is$37,569.00; <br /> therefore,the EPD applied for$18,784.50. That application was approved in full. <br /> Council authorized the Mayor to accept this grant award on November 16,2011. <br /> Bulletproof Vest Partnership Grant 002 3311660031 18,785 <br /> Increase Uniform Budget 031 5220000260 18,785 <br /> Department Code Rev Exp FB <br /> GGA-10 Parks Amendment-Lighting Upgrades 101A 90,714 90,714 <br /> GGA-10 <br /> As a result of the 2009 American Reinvestment and Recovery Act(ARRA),federal funding in the amount <br /> of$79,348 was authorized through an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant(EECBG)from <br /> the U.S. Dept.of Energy for Everett Parks and Recreation to upgrade parking lot and pedestrian pole <br /> lighting at Kasch, Rotary,Walter E. Hall, and Hauge Homestead Parks. The City also received$11,366 <br /> from the Snohomish County PUD Incentives Program for these improvements.
