January 28, 2015 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 12:30 p.m., January 28, 2015, in the City Council Chambers of the William <br /> E. Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Bader presiding. Upon roll <br /> call it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Moore, <br /> Murphy, Bader, Gipson, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Member Roberts was excused. <br /> Council Member Gipson led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the January 21, 2015, City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Gipson abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson reported that he and Council Members Roberts and <br /> Tuohy met with a number of legislators in Olympia yesterday. <br /> OATH <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson, seconded by Council Member <br /> Moore, to concur with the appointment of Jeremy F. Shultz as a new <br /> police officer. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Roberts who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered the oath of office and Mayor Stephanson <br /> presented Officer Shultz with his badge. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Stonecipher commented on a letter of inquiry received <br /> from Mr. Art Skotdal concerning the timing of initiatives from the <br /> Community Streets Initiative task force. Council Member Stonecipher <br /> requested follow-up information. CAO/CFO Debra Bryant stated she <br /> 19 <br />
