2012 Budget Adjustments Tally Sheet Department Code Rev Exp FB GGR-17 Fire Dept Re-approp-Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant 032R 815 GGR-17 General Fund Re-approp-Pre-Disaster Mitigation Grant 002R 815 The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Washington State Military Department allocated grant funding from the 2010 Pre-Disaster Mitigation grant program to local jurisdictions to support their local emergency management operating budget in updating their hazard mitigation plans. This re-appropriation carries forward $815 of unspent grant funds from the $94,476 grant awarded in 2010. This grant is comprised of a 75%/25%split of federal and local dollars. The 25%City match will consist of Emergency Management staff wages and benefits and office supplies. This vehicle will provide interoperability with other heavy rescue apparatus throughout the Puget Sound region and will strengthen and enhance Homeland Security-directed response capabilities in a large scale event. There are no matching requirements for this contract. The heavy rescue apparatus is on order and will be received in 2012. This re-appropriation carries forward the $600,000 to the 2012 budget.
