STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR THE EVERETT STATION AREA Building Design <br /> RELATIONSHIP WITH THE STATION <br /> INTENT <br /> To promote a positive environment around the station that <br /> encourages and supports the station activities. <br /> GUIDELINES <br /> 1. Buildings adjacent to the station should have clear and <br /> visible pedestrian access to the station. <br /> 2. Buildings adjacent to the station should be designed so that <br /> they keep the station building as a focus of the area. Adja- <br /> cent buildings should complement the station building by <br /> using consistent material, color and massing. Copying <br /> elements from the station building is not desired. <br /> 3. Building facades that face the station/station parking <br /> should have at least 50%transparency at first two levels. <br /> 4. Trash receptacles and loading docks of buildings should not <br /> be wide open and visible from the station.
