2005 Budget Adjustments Tally Sheet Department Code Rev Exp FB GGA-10 General Fund Amendment-Emergency Mngmt Perform Grant 002A 40,426 GGA-10 Fire Amendment-Emergency Mngmt Perform Grant 032A 40,426 The Washington State Military Dept. has been given the authority by the Department of Homeland Security(DHS) to administer Federal dollars in providing DHS Emergency Management Performance Grant(EMPG) funds to local jurisdictions that have emergency management programs. These grants are intended to supplement the local jurisdiction's emergency management operating budget in an effort to enhance their emergency management program. The City's EMPG grant award is $40,426 with the requirement of a local match already satisfied by our emergency management operating budget. The award funds from this contract will be used to enhance the City of Everett Emergency Management Program with the purchase of goods, services, and special EOC equipment. V y r t4 i1. iWr fry � �a ( Nai Department Rev Exp FB GGA-11 General Fund Amendment-Disaster Mitigation Planning Grant 002A 13,000 GGA-11 Fire Amendment-Disaster Mitigation Planning Grant 032A 13,000 The Fire Department has requested that Council accept the award of$25,000 mitigation planning grant with a 12.5% match (equalling $3,125). Grant funds would be used to reimburse part of the $12,000 expended in a contract with the University of Washington for development of a draft mitigation plan in 2004. The remainder of the grant would be used to establish a new contract with the University for completion of the City disaster mitigation plan.
