March 25, 2015 <br /> AGREEMENT — SENATOR HENRY M. JACKSON PARK RENOVATION <br /> Moved by Council Member Roberts, seconded by Council Member <br /> Tuohy, to authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services <br /> Agreement with Materials Testing & Consulting, Inc. for soils <br /> remediation services for the Senator Henry M. Jackson Park <br /> Renovation Project, in an amount not to exceed $77,071.00. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Moore who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> The City Council meeting recessed for an executive session at 2:03 p.m. <br /> and reconvened at 2:09 p.m. <br /> Ramsey Ramerman, Legal, stated the action being requested by the City <br /> Council was in response to a lawsuit filed by New Cingular Wireless <br /> against the City related to a tax refund, which has been going on since <br /> about 2012. He explained that the settlement represents about 18% of a <br /> global settlement with a host of other cities and recommended the City <br /> Council authorize the Mayor to sign the global settlement agreement and <br /> authorize the payment to New Cingular in the amount of$34,817.58. <br /> Moved by Council Member Murphy, seconded by Council Member <br /> Stonecipher, to authorize the Mayor to sign a global settlement <br /> agreement to settle New Cingular's tax refund claims and authorize <br /> the payment of$34,817.58 to New Cingular. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council <br /> Member Moore who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 83 <br />
