February 20, 2013 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at 6:30 <br /> p.m., February 20, 2013, in the City Council Chambers of the Everett City <br /> Hall, Council President Moore presiding. Upon roll call it was found that <br /> Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, <br /> Gipson, Bader, Stonecipher, and Affholter were present. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the February 13, 2013, Everett City Council meeting were <br /> approved as printed. Council Member Roberts abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> OATH <br /> Moved by Council Member Gipson, seconded by Council Member <br /> Affholter, to concur with the appointments of John Raby, <br /> Kyle Coleman, and Kristen Fredericksen as new police officers. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The City Clerk administered their oaths of office and Mayor Stephanson <br /> presented them with their badges. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts commented that he attended the Association of <br /> Washington Cities' legislative conference last week, where he had the <br /> opportunity to speak on behalf of the city of Everett regarding concerns <br /> about the business and occupation tax bill. Additionally, he met with the <br /> city's delegation on transportation legislative priorities. <br /> 47 <br />
